“Quality is in Our Bloodstream

As someone who has worked with the Dixie Mechanical organization since 2012, I have never received what most sales and marketing individuals fear the most, a customer complaint! Ask anyone in any type of client representation and you will learn that “no complaints” is an impressive stat! It is my own belief that Dixie’s Quality Assurance program has a lot to do with the reception that I receive when speaking with our customers, the vast majority of which are repeat customers who have worked with us for many, many years.

Dixie Mechanical’s quality program ensures safety, reliability, and compliance on every project. In addition, maintaining strict quality standards prevents costly rework, delays, and material waste—keeping projects on schedule and within budget.

As a pipe fabricator, rooted in the energy sector and power generation in particular, our quality system also guarantees compliance with ASME industry codes, while providing full traceability and documentation for inspections and audits. Our quality assurance program is in accordance with …

  • The American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code
  • Power Boilers and Boiler External Piping (Section I & B31.1),
  • Pressure Vessels (Section VIII Div. 1), and
  • The National Board Inspection Code / Repairs and Alterations

Starting with the procurement of materials (with MTR’s), through the fabrication process, to the final inspection and shipment, Dixie’s quality program constantly monitors each order’s progress.

Beyond technical compliance, Dixie’s quality assurance program has helped build client trust and continues to enhance our reputation within the EPC, OEM and Construction communities. That reputation for consistently delivering superior products is a major contributing factor in ensuring that our repeat customers will continue to be repeat customers for many years to come.

Dixie’s Quality Control Program is managed by Shane Housley, a veteran of 20+ years in industrial fabrication and inspection. In addition to his essential management role, Shane is one of Dixie’s three certified welding inspectors, a member of the American Welding Society and holds Level II Certification for PT, MT inspection and RT Interpretation in accordance with ASNT-TC-1A.
